Twisted (S01E02)

I know I should've started my post from the first episode but I've had end of semester exams (uni's killing me) So, I'll just start with this weeks episode.

A phsyco murder mystery for teens? Now, I'm a Pretty Little Liars fan but also a Bates Motel fan and something about this show seems dark and...almost combining those two shows together which really made me like it. Basically, Twisted, follows a teenage boy, Danny who comes back to the small town he grew up in after spending 5 years in juvy hall, after murdering his aunt.

'Twisted' Review: A 'Psycho' Murder Mystery for Teens

The episode starts off with the events that happened at the end of last weeks episode, the death of Regina. We are also being introduced to a necklace who was worn and stolen from Regina. It was revealed in the last scene of the first episode that it was Danny's aunt's necklace. I wasn't sure how the mystery would kick off until I saw Danny holding the necklace in his hands, which raises the question of him killing the girl or not.

Personally, I like the way the show has created Danny's character and I really hope they don't ruin it with a bunch of melodramatic cliches. Just once in a TV Show I'd love to see the main character NOT a hero or hero in disguise. I'm actually curious to see what they'll do with his character because right now, I like how he doesn't seem like the character that screams out "Look at me, feel sorry for me, I'm just misunderstood" all the time.. I want him to be bad. Does that make sense? I mean, obviously people need to sympothise with him a little bit, but not like they do in every teen drama, you know?

I honestly thought I could write more but there was really nothing much that happened on this weeks episode.
